This spacious 5-metre dome tent uses inflatable beams so there’s no central pole, just wide-open headroom and room to stretch out. At its heart is a plush king-size bed and a wood-burning stove, making this a snug and stylish escape whatever the weather. Soft lighting, cozy furnishings, and peaceful woodland views set the scene for a romantic and restful retreat.

Step outside and everything you need for easy outdoor living is right at hand. A covered kitchenette features a gas double hob, under-counter fridge with ice box, and running hot and cold water. Nearby, your private bathroom includes a flushing toilet and a piping hot shower, no compost loos or cold splashes here!

Set entirely on a large raised wooden deck, the site stays clean and mud-free even in wet weather. You’ll also find a fire pit and BBQ area with outdoor seating, perfect for evenings spent by the stream with a drink in hand and stars overhead.

You’ll access Creekside via your own private footbridge, with nearby parking for added ease. The whole site is flat and step-free, making it friendly for guests with mobility concerns.

Though fully off-grid, thoughtful touches like a USB charging port in the kitchen keep you connected when needed.

Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a comfort-first traveler, Creekside strikes the perfect balance, especially for couples where one’s keen to camp, and the other... not so much.

We left London 7 years ago to create a more sustainable life connected with nature. We have put our heart, soul, time and savings into creating this wild getaway. Each site feels so personal to us and we have gradually built it over time. We hope you love it as much as we do.

We are here if you need anything but won't bother you if you'd rather enjoy the seclusion alone.

Far out of the city, down the winding roads of the North Yorks Moors National Park, into a hidden valley and amongst the trees sits The Lazy T. Surround your self in nothing but nature and let the babbling brook carry your cares away.

Stay local and soak up beautiful walks with personalised maps from the door, to Rievaulx Abbey or The Owl at Hawnby. There's also bike hire from Sutton bank and the chocolate box town of Helmsley is 5 miles away. Guided foraging walks are available from the host

We’re tucked away in a peaceful corner of North Yorkshire, so a little bit of planning goes a long way.

Most people join us by car. Parking is situated 30m from the cabin.

By train:

From London, it’s around 2 hrs 10 mins on the mainline to Thirsk. From there, we recommend pre-booking a taxi to the property.

Alternatively, you can take a slightly quicker train (about 1 hr 50) from King’s Cross to York, and hire a car from Enterprise in the station.

Please note:

There’s no public bus service directly to the property, so taxi or car hire is essential if you're not driving.

There is a bus from York to Helmsley, but it's a taxi ride from there (5.5 miles)
